    Abstract:

    Five glycosides were isolated from the seeds of Litchi chinensis Sonn. by means of solvent fractionation and multiple chromatography. On the basis of spectral data, they were identified as (-)-pinoresinol 4-O-β- D-glucopyranoside (1), phenylethyl β- D-glucopyranoside (2), ethyl β- D-glucopyranoside (3), ethyl α- D-glucopyranoside (4) and cytidine (5). They were all isolated from litchi seeds for the first time.
