    Abstract:

    Amaranthus dubius Mart. ex Thell., native to tropical America and the West Indies, introduced and naturalized in Europe, tropical Asia and Africa as well as in Taiwan, has been found in mainland of China. The population of A. dubius has been discovered along the bank of Hanjiang River of Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, China. The biological characters and the potential invasive were discussed, and a taxonomic key for Chinese Amaranthus is provided.
