    Abstract:

    Pteroceras simondianum (Gagnep.) Aver., a newly recorded species from Guangxi, China is described and illustrated. This species is similar to P. leopardinum (Par. & Rchb. f.) Seidenf. & Smitin., but differs by having distinctly wider and oblique leaves; light yellow flowers with a few crimson-purple blotches and bars; glabrous ovary; sub-spherical pollinia with a small, porous-like cleft.
