    Abstract:

    Weissia muhlenbergiana (Pottiaceae) is reported as a newly recorded moss from China. The detail description of the species, photographs based on the specimen and SEM photographs of the spores are given. A brief comparison between W. muhlenbergiana and similar species are also presented.
