    Abstract:

Pogostemon chinensis C. Y. Wu et Y. C. Huang is newly recorded from India. It was discovered in Assam, India, and its voucher is kept in the herbarium of Royal Botanic Garden Edinburg (E). The species is similar to P. septentrionalis C. Y. Wu et Y. C. Huang morphologically, but differs from the latter in having strigose stems and leaves, and sub-tubular calyx.
