Coelachne japonica Hack. (Gramineae) was reported as a newly recorded species in China, and it was found in Juxi of Cangnan Xian and Huangqiao of Taishun Xian in Zhejiang Province. According to the records, this species was endemic to Honshu and Kyushu of Japan. The main morphological characters, habitat, photographs and voucher specimens were provided for identification, and Coelachne from Zhejiang was revised.
