Abstract:

The progresses in Agrobacterium-mediated transformation of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) was reviewed. Several factors were summarized, such as tomato genotypes, explants, the processes of preculture and infection, the ratio of plant growth regulators and antibiotics in regeneration medium, and different target gene. The tomato genetic transformation in future was prospected.
