    Abstract:

Five phenolic compounds, gallic acid (1), protocatechuic acid (2), ethyl gallate (3), ferulic acid (4), and kaempferol 3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (5), were isolated from the leaves of Cephalomappa sinensis. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analyses (IR, NMR, MS) and the spectral data were compared with those in literatures. All the compounds were isolated from this species for the first time.
