Abstract:A new species of Syndiclis in Lauraceae, S. hongkongensis N. H. Xia, Y. F. Deng ＆ K. L. Yip, is described and illustrated. The new species is similar to S. chinensis Allen, but differs in 6 perianth-lobes, 6 （rarely 7） eglandular fertile stamens.
