    Abstract:

    The influences of different explants from organs of Azadirachta indica, culture media and subculture times on callus growth and azadirachtin content in cultures were studied. The results showed that all of the calli induced from root, leaf, stem and bark had the capability of synthesizing azadirachtin, among which callus growth rate and azadirachtin from leaf explants were the highest. BS medium with low anunonium salt had good result for callus growth, while MS medium with high ammonium salt was beneficial...
