Two little known species of Pleione (Orchidaceae) from China were noted, i.e., Pleione arunachalensis Hareesh, P. Kumar & M. Sabu and P. humilis (Sm.) D. Don. Detailed morphological descriptions and photographs were provided. The voucher specimens were deposited in the herbarium of Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland (YAF).
