臭越橘(杜鹃花科)的花部形态

摘要:对中国杜鹃花科特有种:臭越橘(Vaccinium foetidissimum H. Lév. & Vaniot)的花部形态特征进行了描述。基于新补充的花部特征,讨论了该种与其相似种的区别。

Abstract: The floral morphology of Vaccinium foetidissimum H. Lév. & Vaniot, an endemic species of Ericaceae from China, is firstly described in this paper. The differences between this species and its allies were also discussed in the light of new morphological data.

臭越橘(Vaccinium foetidissimum H. Lév. & Vaniot)是杜鹃花科(Ericaceae)越橘属的1种常绿灌木,特产于我国贵州南部[14]。模式标本于1907年采自贵州贵定平伐(今贵定县云雾镇),之后便鲜被采到,目前仅有果期的标本。虽然该种自发表以来已有100多年,但花部特征始终不为人所知。对越橘属物种来说,花部特征,尤其是花序类型、花各部分器官数目、花冠形态与毛被、雄蕊形态、子房室数目等特征对属下分组和分种尤为重要[34]。因此,臭越橘究竟与哪些种类近缘,与近缘种又如何区别,需要进一步的研究。

2020年4月,在一次贵州省贵定县云雾镇的野外考察中我们采集到了1种越橘属植物的标本。由于采集地点和臭越橘的模式产地一致,且叶形也与臭越橘十分相像,因此我们推测该种很可能是臭越橘。之后我们又2次前往该地补充采集了花和果的标本,经与模式标本及原始描述对比,我们发现二者具有完全一致的营养体和果实特征,如枝条光滑无毛、叶革质、叶片倒披针形或倒披针状卵形、叶片基部两侧具腺点、叶脉表面明显突起、浆果球形、果实表面被白粉等。因此,我们确定该种便是臭越橘,并对它的花进行了解剖,首次描述了其花部特征并绘制了墨线图。

花部特征描述:总状花序生于2年生枝叶腋或无叶的节上,长2.5~4.0 cm,每个花序有花5~8朵,花序梗不明显,花序轴光滑无毛;花序基部具总苞片(即花序的芽鳞)数枚,干后褐色,椭圆形,长约3 mm,早落。苞片1枚,着生于花梗基部,倒卵形,长约5 mm,宽约3 mm,浅粉红色,两面无毛,边缘有白色纤毛,早落;小苞片2枚,着生于花梗基部,两侧各1枚,披针形,长约4 mm,宽约1 mm,浅粉红色,两面无毛,边缘有稀疏的白色纤毛,早落。花梗绿色,长5~6 mm,直径约1 mm,向上逐渐膨大,与花萼筒连接处具关节。花萼筒无毛,长约1.5 mm;檐部裂至4/5或基部;花萼裂片5,绿色,三角形,无毛,长1.5~2 mm。花冠钟形,黄绿色,有时带粉色,长约5 mm,直径约7 mm,外面无毛,内面被白色短柔毛;花冠裂片5,三角形, 先端渐尖,向外反卷,长1.5~2.0 mm。雄蕊10, 长约5 mm;花丝扁平,向内弯曲,被白色短柔毛, 长约3 mm;花药黄色,长约4 mm,背部有2枚伸展的距,距长约1 mm,互锁[即与花萼裂片对生的雄蕊的距向外伸展至相邻雄蕊(与花冠裂片对生的雄蕊)的药室背部,并与花冠裂片对生的雄蕊的距从相邻雄蕊(与花萼裂片对生的雄蕊)的距的下面向上弯曲并将其钩住,从而形成互锁结构];药管与药室的长度比约为2∶1。花盘浅黄色,无毛。子房下位,假10室;花柱浅绿色,长5~6 mm,稍伸出花冠之外,向上逐渐变细,无毛;柱头截平。

Floral morphological description: Racemes borne in axils of leaves or at leafless nodes of biennial branches, 2.5–4.0 cm long, 5–8-flowered; peduncle not obvious; rachis glabrous; basal bracts several, brown in sicco, elliptic, ca. 3 mm long, caducous; floral bract inserted at the base of the pedicel, obovate, ca. 5 mm long, 3 mm wide, pinkish, glabrous on both sides, margin white ciliate, caducous. Bracteoles 2, inserted at the base of the pedicel, nearly opposite, lanceolate, ca. 4 mm long, 1 mm wide, pinkish, glabrous on both sides, margin sparsely white ciliate, caducous. Pedicel green, 5–6 mm long, ca. 1 mm thick, expanded upward, articulated with calyx tube. Calyx tube glabrous, about 1.5 mm long; limb divided to 4/5 or to the base; lobes 5, green, triangular, 1.5–2 mm long, glabrous. Corolla campa- nulate, yellow-green, sometimes tinged with pink, ca. 5 mm long, ca. 7 mm in diameter, glabrous externally, white pubescent internally; lobes 5, triangular, 1.5– 2.0 mm long, apex acuminate, reflexed. Stamens 10, ca. 5 mm long; filaments flat, curved inward, white pubescent, ca. 3 mm long; anthers yellow, ca. 4 mm long, with two spreading spurs, spurs curved, ca. 1 mm long, interlocking (i.e. spurs on antesepalous stamens extending laterally outside of antepetalous anthers, and spurs on antepetalous anthers strongly hooked outward below spurs of antesepalous stamens); tubules ca. 2× as long as thecae. Disk yellowish, glabrous. Ovary inferior, pseudo-10-locular; style greenish, 5–6 mm long, slightly exerted from corolla, tapering upward, glabrous; stigma truncate.

物候:花期6-7月;果期8-12月。

分布和生境:分布于贵州都匀、贵定等地。附生于海拔1 100~1 400 m的林中或山脚岩石上,常与缺顶杜鹃(Rhododendron emarginatum Hemsl.)、百合花杜鹃(R. liliiflorum H. Lév.)等伴生,群落中杜鹃花科植物占优势。

讨论:经标本检查发现,本种的嫩枝和叶柄常无毛,但辛树帜采自都匀的50773号和50774号标本嫩枝无毛或具有稀疏的短柔毛,叶柄被短柔毛。本种与罗汉松叶乌饭(Vaccinium podocarpoideum W. P. Fang & Z. H. Pan)在植株体态、果序等特征上相似,但本种幼枝无毛或具有稀疏的短柔毛,叶片倒披针形或倒披针状卵形,长4~7 cm,宽1.0~2.2 cm, 花冠外面无毛,内面被白色短柔毛,而后者幼枝被微柔毛,叶片线状倒披针形或线状披针形,长仅1.8~2.5 cm, 宽仅0.35~0.5(~0.8) cm,花冠两面无毛[5](表 1)。本种还与凸脉越橘(V. supracostatum Hand.-Mazz.)接近,两者很多的花部特征均比较一致,如花序轴、花梗、花萼、花冠外面及花柱均无毛,花冠钟形,花冠内面和花丝被短柔毛等,仅叶片的形状差别较大,前者叶片倒披针形或倒卵状披针形,而后者叶片倒卵形至椭圆形(表 1)。因目前臭越橘的标本较少,叶形的差异是否稳定可靠,需要今后采集更多的材料后才可知晓,两者的关系还需要进一步的研究。
